About

Since a young age, I have been an explorer driven by curiosity, eager to understand how things work and what motivates people. My exploration and curiosity about human nature have led me to art, design, photography, and education, all requiring empathy, initiative, and the ability to work within ambiguity.

I have had a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember. One of my first photos was of my favorite stuffed monkey in a tree, taken with a Kodak Funsaver when I was 5 years old. I then forgot it was in the tree until the roll was developed.

When I got my hands on an SLR in high school, that's when the real magic happened for me. I loved the process of developing film and the unexpected with each roll. I went on to study photography in community college and college, which led to several art shows, freelance work, and teaching photography.

That path led me to obtain a Master of Education and professional certifications, all while continuing to photograph.

Photography continues to be a synthesizer of all my passions, where I can combine my creativity, storytelling, and a deep interest in human behavior. With over 10 years of experience in education, I bring an inclusive and empathetic lens to my work, grounded in a deep understanding of diverse identities and life experiences. Whether I’m capturing portraits, weddings, brand stories, or everyday moments, I approach each project with curiosity, care, and a desire to reflect the complexity and beauty of the people and systems I photograph.

I have always taken an editorial and visual storytelling approach to my work. I love collaborating to uncover meaning through images, and I hope you will join me on this journey!
